Bharosa Community Services: Important festive holiday payment updates for NDIS

supporting NDIS participant

As the festive season gears up, Bharosa Community Services, a registered NDIS provider, aims to keep you informed about important holiday payment updates for NDIS affecting our services during this period.

NDIS Office Hours: Changes During the Festive Season

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) will be operating at reduced capacity from December 22, 2023, to January 1, 2024. Regular operations will resume on January 2, 2024. However, to ensure continuous support, the National Contact Centre will remain open from 8am to 8pm (local time) on weekdays, except for national holidays, to assist with urgent inquiries.

In case you require support from your local office during this time, we encourage you to reach out to your local Partner office beforehand for further guidance. If contacting your local office or the Agency during the holiday period, your call will be redirected to the National Contact Centre (1800 800 110) or an alternative point of contact will be provided.

For urgent assistance outside these hours, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Triple Zero (000).

Partner Office Hours and Scheduled Payments for Participants

Some partner offices will be closed during the festive period, so it’s essential to check your local partner office hours for any closures and holiday payment updates for NDIS.

Regarding scheduled payments for participants, certain payments over public holidays will experience delays. Please note the adjusted payment schedule:

  • Periodic transport payments scheduled for January 1 will be processed from January 4 onwards.
  • If you have made a payment request or expect a recurring transport payment on specific dates, there will be adjusted payment dates accordingly.

After January 2, 2024, the concerned authorities will return to our usual payment cycle. For more info, generally claims are processed within 2 to 3 days, though some payments may take up to 10 days.

Scheduled Payment Runs for Providers

For providers, similar to participant payments, claims made during the holiday period will also experience delays in processing:

  • Claims made on specific dates in December will be processed on adjusted dates in January.

After January 2, 2024, the usual payment cycle for providers will resume, with most claims processed within 2 to 3 days, but some may take up to 10 days.

Both self-managed participants and providers should understand their responsibilities to maintain records and invoices according to holiday payment updates for NDIS.

Bharosa Community Services will continue payment reviews throughout December and January to ensure compliance and prevent fraudulent activities. For more information on self-management responsibilities or NDIS record keeping requirements, Call us at 0434 837 484.

At Bharosa Community Services, we remain committed to providing support and assistance, even during this festive season with different information on holiday payment updates for NDIS. We wish you a safe and joyful celebration.

For further information or inquiries, contact Bharosa Community Services or the National Contact Centre at 1800 800 110.

Please note that the information provided here is based on the updates shared by the NDIA regarding the NDIS festive season operations. For any specific queries, please reach out to concerned authorities in person.

We aspire to serve with love and respect.
