FAQs

Who is eligible for Assist Personal Activities Support?

Assist Personal Activities support is available to NDIS participants whose approved plan includes funding for this support category. Eligibility is based on your individual goals, needs, and the functional impact of your disability on daily living tasks. If you’re unsure whether your plan includes this support, our team at Bharosa can help you review your NDIS plan and connect you with the right services.

Can I choose the timing and frequency of support for personal activities?

Absolutely. We believe support should fit around your life, not the other way around. You can work with our team to schedule support at times that suit your daily routine whether that’s morning, evening, or across multiple sessions throughout the week. The frequency of support is guided by your NDIS plan funding and your individual needs.

Will I have the same support worker for all my personal activities?

We do our best to provide consistency by matching you with a dedicated support worker who understands your preferences, routines, and the way you like things done. While there may be occasional changes due to leave or other circumstances, we always ensure a proper handover so your care is never disrupted.

Can I choose my own support worker?

Yes. At Bharosa, we strongly believe in your right to choice and control. You are welcome to be involved in the selection of your support worker. We take your preferences including language, cultural background, gender, and personality seriously when making a match, because a comfortable and trusting relationship leads to better outcomes.

What if my needs change?

Your needs may evolve over time, and your support should reflect that. Simply reach out to our team and we’ll work with you to review and adjust your support arrangements. If your needs have changed significantly, we can also help you connect with your NDIS planner or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) to explore a plan review.

How do you ensure quality and safety?

Bharosa is committed to delivering safe, respectful, and high-quality support. All our support workers undergo thorough background checks, including NDIS Worker Screening Checks, and hold relevant qualifications and training. We follow the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct, and we regularly review our services to ensure they continue to meet your expectations. You can always speak to us if you have any concerns your feedback is genuinely valued.

Can services be provided outside my home?

Yes. Assist Personal Activities support is not limited to your home. Depending on your needs and NDIS plan, support can be provided in the community for example, assisting you with personal care while attending appointments, social activities, or community events. We’ll work with you to determine where support is needed most.

How to contact an NDIS support coordinator?

You can contact a Support Coordinator by phone, email, or online enquiry.
