FAQs

What are High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA)?

High Intensity Daily Personal Activities (HIDPA) are specialised NDIS supports designed for participants with complex health conditions that require a higher level of skill and clinical knowledge to deliver safely.

How is HIDPA funded in an NDIS plan?

HIDPA is funded under the Core Supports budget in your NDIS plan, within the “Assistance with Daily Life” category. Because HIDPA involves complex health needs, additional NDIS funding may also be available for related equipment and for the clinical training of your support workers. If your current plan does not include HIDPA funding, your GP, specialist, NDIS planner, or Support Coordinator can help you gather supporting evidence for a plan review.

Will I have a personalised HIDPA support plan?

Yes. Every Bharosa participant receiving HIDPA supports has a personalised High Intensity Support Plan developed in close collaboration with them, their family or nominated decision-makers, and an Appropriately Qualified Health Practitioner. Your plan outlines the specific procedures, safety protocols, and personal preferences that guide your care. You are actively involved throughout the process, and your plan is reviewed regularly to reflect any changes in your health needs or goals.

Can Bharosa provide HIDPA supports at home?

Yes. Bharosa delivers high intensity daily personal activities in the home and in community health settings. We understand that familiar surroundings are important for your comfort and wellbeing, and our team is experienced in delivering complex clinical care safely and respectfully within your own home, always in line with your individual support plan.

Can I switch my HIDPA provider to Bharosa?

Yes. As an NDIS participant, you have the right to choose your provider at any time. If you currently receive HIDPA supports elsewhere and wish to move to Bharosa, our team will guide you through the transition process coordinating handover of your support plan, arranging any necessary clinical assessments, and ensuring there is no disruption to your care throughout the changeover.

How do I get started with Bharosa's HIDPA service?

Getting started is straightforward. Call us on 1800 862 427, email [email protected], or fill in the enquiry form on this page. Our team will discuss your complex care needs, review your NDIS plan funding, and work closely with your health practitioners to develop a personalised HIDPA support plan ensuring you or your loved one receives expert, safe, and dignified care from day one.
